McAslan completes Stanislavsky centre in Moscow
John McAslan + Partners has completed this redevelopment of an abandoned factory and theatre site in central Moscow, Russia.
Six existing 19th and 20th century buildings on the 4 hectares site, which was once the base of influential Russian theatre director Constantin Stanislavsky, have been restored. The restored buildings feature a hotel and offices while apartments are housed in the new-build element of the scheme.
McAslan’s scheme also transformed a physically degraded theatre into a new arts venue.
