Make’s Riverside Quarter scheme rises from the ground

Make and careyjones chapmantolcher’s 204-home Riverside Quarter project in Wandsworth, south London has started on site

The project is the latest phase in Frasers Property’s £100 million redevelopment programme for the former industrial site close to the River Thames.

The design features 121 private apartments and 18 affordable shared ownership apartments.

The two buildings will be nine and twelve storeys high and will feature geothermal heating and cooling via an open loop borehole system.

Frasers Property chief executive Stanley Quek said: ‘Now that work has started on site we look forward to being able to offer more residents the chance to enjoy living beside the river in this stunning part of London.

‘One of the most attractive aspects of Riverside Quarter is its vibrant, close knit community.’

The project is expected to complete by September 2012 (see previous story AJ 29.05.07).
