Make's Cube is all clad up

The Cube in Birmingham is one step closer to completion following the installation of its facade

Designed by Make, the £100 million building was inspired by the jewellery and engineering heritage of the city, while the bespoke facade has been constructed and installed by German outfit HAGA.

The 20,000 panels are a mix of gold, silver and bronze anodised aluminium panels and glass.

Last month, the developer behind The Cube, the Birmingham Development Company, went into administration after failing to renegotiate a loan with its bank.

Lloyds is now funding the project to completion.
