LAST CHANCE: AJ Small Projects 2009 final week for entries

The AJ’s annual search for the best small-scale architectural gems is drawing to a close

UPDATE: The deadline for entries to the AJ Small Projects 2009 has been extended to 13 November, to allow for delays caused by the postal strikes

The AJ Small Projects competition accepts unpublished schemes completed between 1 January 2008 and 1 November 2009 with a contract value of less than £250,000. The best projects will be showcased in three special editions of The Architects’ Journal in early 2010 and the winners will receive a share of the £2,500 prize fund.

Last year’s victor was this £150,000 extension to an 18th-century building near Bath, called Moonshine, by the Mitchell Taylor Workshop (pictured).

The deadline is 13 November 2009 and entry fee is £50.
