In pictures: Weston Williamson's Paddington station

Images of Weston Williamson’s plans for Paddington station in west London have been released

The new station will sit on the site of the current Hammersmith & City line concourse, which is adjacent to the mainline platforms.

Transport for London will also revamp the parts of the station servicing the Bakerloo, Circle and District lines - giving the whole area a new look for Crossrail’s opening in 2017.

Early construction works for the £15.9 billion cross-London rail link have already started at Tottenham Court Road, and the works package for Paddington station has been advertised.
