In pictures: Practice Architecture unwraps Hackney theatre

[First look] Practice Architecture has created a theatre and bar within a disused warehouse in Hackney Wick

Called The Yard, the structure was built using reclaimed materials from the Olympic Park and will be open until 29 October.

The project provides free rehearsal and performance space for artists with the aim of creating a safe place for actors to take ‘artistic risks’.

Practice have previous experience with theatre structures, having built temporary structures for the Hannah Barry Gallery and for the New Art Centre at Roche Court.
