In pictures: Post Works unwraps Writtle radio station pop-up

[First look] Artist Melissa Appleton and emerging practice Post-Works have created this pop-up radio station at Writtle College in Essex

Broadcasting shows on FM and online, the structure was inspired by the UK’s first regular radio station known as ‘2EmmaToc’ built in a wooden hut nearby.

The Writtle Calling installation will broadcast between 6pm and 7.30pm from 11 to 18 September.

An evening event and barbeque is also planned to take place at the structure on 15 September.
