In pictures: AJ Spec celebrates re-launch

The evening at the Walter Knoll showroom attracted a host of revellers including: Chris Romer-Lee of Studio Octopi, Nick Wilson, Owen Luder CBE and Joe Morris of Duggan Morris.

CABE chair and AJ editorial director Paul Finch introduced the re-design, before announcing Christine Murray’s appointment to editor of the AJ and Rory Olcayto’s promotion from features editor to deputy editor.

Finch also introduced the new editorial team at sister-title the Architectural Review. Catherine Slessor is now editor, and Will Hunter has joined the team as deputy editor.

To mark the occasion Walter Knoll generously raffled a Jens Risom 1947 Vostra Chair.

Henrik Rothe of architects Leit-werk bagged the £850 prize.

The practice this month also won the international design competition for the new Ethiopian Airlines headquarters at Bole International Airport.
