Holcim launches $2m sustainability awards

Swiss cement and aggregate supplier Holcim, parent company of UK-based Aggregate Industries, has launched its global sustainable design awards with categories for both professionals and students

A total of US$2 million (£1.3 million) will be awarded for projects which combine innovation in sustainability with outstanding design.

Projects must have started on site after July 1 2010 to qualify, although unrealised projects may also be submitted.

The deadline for entries is 23 March 2011.
