Hellman Cartoon

The Hellman Files 101: A trawl through Hellman’s archives, in which we uncover gems as relevant now as they were then

The Chinese are to build a multibillion ‘new Canary Wharf’ on the site of the Royal Docks together with a floating village (presumably on the Stock Exchange) with the involvement of our old friends Boris J and Terry F. This cartoon is from the AJ for 06.04.88 about the original American Canary Wharf which had the benefit of  massive public subsidies and removal of planning constraints. Marketecture is redefined as ‘Commodities, Futures and Deregulation.’
