The eight pods of The British Antarctic Survey’s new research station are up and running, if not walking like the Archigram cities which must have inspired them, though they do go up and down on hydraulic legs to cope with snow drifts. Maybe that should be Argie-gram as Argentina no doubt have designs on British Antarctica, now renamed Queen Elizabeth Land.
