Hawkins\Brown completes £7.5m Jericho health centre

[First look + project data] Hawkins\Brown has completed its 4,330m² New Radcliffe House community health centre for the University of Oxford

With three GP surgeries and offices for Oxford University Press, it is part of the university’s Rafael Viñoly-masterplanned Radcliffe Observatory Quarter expansion project.

Oxford’s vice-chancellor, professor Andrew Hamilton, said: ‘We are proud that Oxford University has been able to make such a meaningful contribution to the local community and it is great that so many patients will directly benefit from the new arrangements for these three GP practices. We believe the Radcliffe Observatory
Quarter is not just for University members, but the whole of Oxford.’

Russell Brown, partner at Hawkins\Brown said: ‘The new building appropriately brings the scale and form of the street in this part of Oxford into the New Quarter. It connects the local community to the University Estate, forming a clear link between “town and gown” and drawing the public to this new piece of the City.’
