Harrogate Grammar School sixth from pavilion by Bowman Riley Architects

[FIRST LOOK] This new sixth form pavilion at Harrogate Grammar School designed by Bowman Riley Architects has been granted planning permission

The block, which includes teaching rooms, a learning theatre and dining room, is currently out to tender and work is expected to begin on site in September, with completion due in August next year.

Seven teaching rooms and a theatre with retractable seating and a large practical area will be included in the modern and flexible accommodation at the sixth form pavilion.

The theatre space is designed for the requirements of the media, performing arts and a 300-seat lecture hall, while it can also hold exhibitions and events.

‘Bowman Riley Architects is proud to be working with Harrogate Grammar School on this project,’ said company director Laurence Teeney. ‘The school is one of the top educational providers in the area and we feel that our innovative design compliments this position.’
