Happenstance: Photographer David Solomons' retrospective opens in London

The London photographer David Solomons’ first solo retrospective is now open at the Oxford House Gallery in East London

The collection coincides with Solomons’ newly released book, Happenstance: Black and White Photographs: 1990-2007. Solomons is known for his photojournalism and cites numerous British and international influences on his work, including Garry Winogrand, Tony Ray-Jones and Elliott Erwitt. The exhibition focuses on his opportunist, insightful and often humorous black-and-white photographs from 1990 to 2007, which form a large part of his extensive portfolio. The exhibition is part of Photomonth 2009, the East London Photography Festival and is open until 29th November 2009.
