Hadid reveals contest-winning Chinese cultural centre

Zaha Hadid Architects has revealed its competition-winning proposals for the new Changsha International Culture and Arts Centre in south-central China

The scheme will house an 1,800-seat theatre, 500-seat multipurpose hall, an art museum and 3,700m2 of offices and shops.

  • This project is a BLIND COPY of her project Cairo Expo City in Egypt.

    It really amazes me how the SAME design approach is being used in 2 completely different contexts (China and Egypt)....yielding the same outcome for both locations.

    A little more contextual customization would have been more meaningful.


    If you look up "Cairo Expo City" on google images, and compare to the images in this article,...you'll know what I mean.
