Green light for Russell Jones' country home

[Project data + plans] Russell Jones Architects has finally won the go-ahead for this £575,000 home in the Brecon Beacon National Park, Wales

According to the practice, the 330m² Tŷ’r Bobin project in Llangynidr, Powys took ‘two years to negotiate through the planning system’.

A spokesman said: ‘The National Park should promote this type of contemporary design within the park - something it lacks.

‘The Park has many quality historic buildings but not any quality modern buildings.’

The scheme is expected to start on site next year.
