Goldschmied joins Sparch

Former RIBA president and ex-managing director at Richard Rogers Partnership, Marco Goldschmied has joined global outfit Sparch as a non-executive director

The practice has recently set up a new office in London headed by Max Titchmarsh. Formerly part of the Archial Group [now Ingenium], Sparch is an independent firm led by Stephen Pimbley and already has studios in Abu Dhabi, Beijing, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Shanghai and Singapore.

Pimbley was a Will Alsop ‘graduate’ who began working with the Striling Prize-winner in 1990.

Goldschmied left Rogers’ firm in 2004 but three years later bought the practice’s Thames Wharf site with the intention of turning it into a zero-carbon development (AJ 21.12.07).
