Gianni Botsford reveals Taiwan chapel plans
[First look + plans] Gianni Botsford Architects has revealed plans for this chapel in the Jianglang Mountain area of Taiwan
The building, with its curving concrete walls, is part of the Hsinchu Stone Village masterplan the practice is developing with Mole Architects and landscape architect Todd Longstaffe-Gowan.
The 60-person chapel sits in a hillside landscape close to a planned resort hotel and is designed primarily for weddings.
A line of light within the building moves throughout the days and seasons, but aligns exactly with the middle of the staircase and the middle of the chapel space at midday on June 21st.
