Fourth architect emerges in race for parliament
Iain Meek has emerged as the fourth architect standing for the 2010 general election
His policies include giving prizes to individuals for being the ‘best’, drawing from areas as diverse as illegal immigrants and dustbin men, and scrapping VAT on sanitary towels.
Labour has won the Holborn & St Pancras seat for the at least the last four elections in a row.
Other industry candidates include the BNP’s landscape architect Peter Phillips, who is standing for the far-right-wing party in Windsor.
Meanwhile, Mike Hibbs is standing for the Liberal Democrats in the newly formed seat of Basildon & Billericay, and Colman Architects’ Chris Phillips is a Tory candidate in south London.
