Foster's Heathrow hotel lands approval from London Mayor

London Mayor, Boris Johnson has approved Foster + Partners’ design for a new five-star hotel near Heathrow Airport

To be developed by Riva Properties, the 13-storey structure will feature a ‘layered glass shell’ with rooms contained within six pavilions, linked by bridges.

It is sunk several levels underground and will feature a bowling centre and health centre, together with a number of meeting venues. There is also a 1,200 capacity ballroom, two auditoriums and a large conference room.
