First look: sandbag centrepiece for LFA
Roz Barr Architects with engineers Ramboll has revealed these proposals for a temporary urban park outside the NLA’s home in Store Street as part of this year’s London Festival of Architecture (LFA)
Sponsored by Derwent London and the Arts Council, the scheme will be made from 7,000 military-grade sandbags shipped in from Cornwall and will complete next Tuesday (3 July).
Once the installation is taken down, the sand will be distributed around playgrounds in north London.
LFA 2012 runs until the 8 July.
