First Look: 23 Savile Row by Eric Parry

First images of Eric Parry’s new office building in Mayfair

Twenty-three Savile Row is a mixed-use ‘sustainable’ building featuring public art by Joel Shapiro.

The six-storey 14,640m² office building replaces Fortress House - the former headquarters of English Heritage.

Readers' comments (1)

  • Fortress House should not, as a building which made a positive contribution to a Conservation Area, have been given permission to be demolished. In addition, there were those willing to take it on and re-use it, but owner/developer greed prevailed (see SAVE / Twentieth Century Society link above).

The new is bland and uninspiring.
