Female architect named on top 50 part-time workers list

Debby Kuypers of RFK Architects has featured on a top 50 list of the most senior part-time workers in the UK

Kuypers – who works four days a week – was the only built environment professional to be included on the list compiled by Timewise Jobs.

She said: ‘I hope that, by opening up about my own personal working patterns, I can help pave the way for future generations of workers – men as well as women - who will need to fit work with other major commitments in life.’

Judge Karen Mattison said Kuypers was ‘helping to pave the way for others in architecture who want to continue their stellar careers, on a part-time or flexible basis.’

Kuypers, who co-founded RFK in 2003, is responsible for managing the practice’s staff, marketing, business operations and project pitches. She is lead architect on all the studio’s retail projects.
