FAT set to revamp Birmingham Selfridges interior

FAT has been approached to redesign the interior of Future Systems award-winning Selfridges store in Birmingham

The high-profile practice – which has yet to be appointed to the role – completed an overhaul of Selfridges’ womenswear department in London two and half years ago.

FAT is understood to be redesigning a the menswear section inside the iconic £60 million building which features a façade made from 15,000 anodised aluminium discs on a blue background.

Part of the city’s £500 million Bullring shopping centre redevelopment, the landmark building first opened in 2003.
