Emerging stars vie for Olympic 'cultural hub'

A shortlist, featuring some of the country’s most exciting young talent, has been drawn up by Design for London/London Development Agency for a new cultural hub on the edge of the Olympic Park

The AJ understands Glowacka Rennie, Duggan Morris, Gort Scott, Union North and David Kohn are among the finalists selected for the project to create a space for artists in the disused Fish Island White Building.

The former printworks in Hackney Wick in London overlooks the 2012 Olympic stadium in east London. The contest organisers are looking for a semi-temporary ‘solution’ which could last five to ten years.

Interviews were held yesterday (16 September).
