Devereux allies with Middle Eastern practice

Devereux Architects has announced a partnership with Emirates-based practice TNQ Architects

Led by Nic Allen (pictured, right) and Rosemary Jenssen, Devereux will operate from offices in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah and Riyadh as it looks to enhance its presence in the Middle East.

The strategic alliance will aim to capitalise on growing markets in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region for healthcare, research and education.

Devereux Architects said the partnership will focus primarily on women’s health and the need to establish a high quality primary care system. Masterplanning existing hospitals to make them more efficient will represent another key area for the team.

Already active in the GCC region since 2004, and working on projects worth more than 3 billion US dollars, Devereux designed the recently-completed Al Ain Cromwell Women and Children Hospital in Abu Dhabi.
