Capita Symonds in Cirencester College win

Capita Symonds has been appointed to design a £3.8m ‘Sports Hall Plus’ project in Cirencester, Gloucestershire

The 2650m² scheme will house a sports hall, changing rooms, classrooms, fitness suite, dance studio and a social space for students.

The company will be providing; building design, cost management , engineering and sustainability services. The project is aiming for BREEAM ‘Excellent’ status. 

Jonathan Adams, who designed the Wales Millenium Centre in Cardiff, is leading the project.

Work on the project is due to start on site in February in 2011 with completion due before the end of 2011. The project is the first stage of a gradual phased development of the whole estate.
