Capita Symonds goes shopping in Saudi Arabia

Capita Symonds has released these images of its proposed 120,000m² shopping centre in Saudi Arabia.

The UK firm has created the designs for a private developer, which is currently undertaking a high level feasibility study on the plans.

The development in Al Ahsa would host a mix of retail outlets and other experiences over three levels.

Anchor stores have been allocated space at either end, while a 24-hour ‘lifestyle street’ is also in the plans.

If approved, the project is due for completion in 2014.

Capita Symonds, which has an office in Abu Dhabi, revealed plans before Christmas for a £20million mixed-use scheme on the east Coast of Saudi Arabia.

Also for a private client, work on the six-floor development is scheduled to start in spring 2012 and complete next year (2013).
