Boathouse, Loch Ard by Sutherland Hussey

[FIRST LOOK + PLANS] Sutherland Hussey has won permission for this boat house on Loch Ard, near Aberfoyle in Loch Lomond and the Trossach

The steel-framed timber and glass building will house a yoga room and sauna, and is expected to start on site later this year.

Entry into the house, which replaces a dilipidated wooden ‘shed’ , is along a footbrdige at first floor level.

    Very nice.

How on earth did they get it past the National Park planners?

  • Oh no, that is horrific. Grey concrete hidden by a few twigs is still grey concrete. I regularly travel past this spot on teh water, and it will be clearly visible from the viewpoint on the other side of the loch.

This is just shocking, what a big, ugly, nasty building. I'm speechless. Why would you want to spoil such a beautiful spot with this....
