Block bags planning on third attempt

Block Architecture has begun work on Vine Cottage in north London, after receiving planning on the third attempt

The two-storey building in Hampstead, which was originally an outhouse or servants quarters, sits on the site of a derelict cottage.

Zoe Smith, director at Block, said the protrusions in the design ‘provide a playful relief to the gable facade’, while deterring vandalism and graffiti.
