Bartlett crowned top UK architecture school

The UCL Bartlett School of Architecture has come first in a league table of UK architecture schools

The Guardian’s 2013 architecture schools league table placed the Bartlett above Cambridge – which came second – and Bath which was named third.

Students from the central London architecture school have a 97 per cent success rate in finding employment within six months of graduation while 79 per cent indicated satisfaction with their course.

School director Marcos Cruz said: ‘There is an extraordinary mood in the school whereby the students are producing amazing work which is at the forefront of what architecture is all about.’

He added: ‘For many years the school has been producing graduates which are recognised by the industry as the ones they want.’

The University of East London placed last on the list, offering only a 46 per cent success rate for graduates finding work within six months of course completion.
