Aukett Fitzroy Robinson reveals second phase of Imperial College masterplan

Aukett Fitzroy Robinson (AFR) has submitted these proposals for the redevelopment of the former BBC site on Wood Lane in White City, west London

The 87,900m² scheme is the second phase of Imperial College’s wider campus plans - the Imperial West masterplan drawn up by AFR and features the practice’s competition-winning designs for a new Academic Health Science Centre [building C pictured].

Construction work has already started on the first phase of the masterplan; the 20,700m² student apartment-led Wood Lane Studios development that will house 606 postgraduate students along the south of Shinfield Street and is also designed by AFR.

The new flagship science centre will house facilities for health and biomedical research and has been drawn up with specialist laboratory architects BMJ.
