AStudio makes Chinese debut

Astudio and WYG have revealed these images of a 210m-tall ‘headquarters’ tower in South China

The scheme is the first building in a larger, mixed-use masterplan and marks the Chinese debut for Richard Hyams’ practice who hopes the multimillion pound project will act as the ’catalyst for [our] overseas expansion’.

The design incorporates sky gardens and corner winter gardens to help provide natural ventilation to the inside spaces.  The facades incorporate diagonal shades to reduce internal heat gains.
We are currently carrying out 3D CAD testing to ensure the façade design meets the low internal gains the building services are designed for. These techniques are now commonly used by Astudio to reduce carbon across our portfolio of projects.
