Ash Sakula wins green light for Cardiff media centre

Ash Sakula Architects has landed planning for a £6.2 million Digital Media Centre in Cardiff Bay

The new building will sit in front of FAT’s nearly complete BBC Drama Production Village on the south side of Roath Basin and is the first block in developer Igloo’s Porth Teigr masterplan to transform the former docklands site.

The building will house creative, digital and media companies in studios of differing sizes, on upper floors, with café, retail, conference and club areas on the ground and mezzanine floors house.

According to the practice, construction is due to begin later this year.
