Arup plans 100 redundancies

ARUP is planning to slash up to 100 jobs following an employment consultation, which concludes this week

Redundancies will be made at ‘Arup Bristol’, ‘Arup North West’ and ‘Buildings London’, the firm’s property division.

Arup says it will ‘endeavour to redeploy staff within the firm where possible,’ but added: ‘We continue to operate in a period of uncertainty in the global economy.’

A spokesperson said: ‘We have begun a statutory 30-day consultation period with relevant staff in the UK, and we are doing everything that we can to ensure the redundancy programme is handled with transparency and sensitivity.

The multidisciplinary giant bought Flacq Architects earlier this month.
