Argentinian debut for Foster + Partners

  • Comment

[FIRST LOOK] Foster + Partners has won the contest to design a new corporate headquarters for the Banco Ciudad de Buenos Aires, Argentina

Designed with local architect BBRCH-Minond, the scheme for the publicly-owned, municipal commercial bank will occupy an entire city block in the Parque Patricios neighbourhood.

The park-side entrance plaza is sheltered by the overhang of the ‘flowing roof canopy which is supported by slender pillars’.

The full-height atrium leads onto four tiers of terraced office spaces - all with direct views of the park and set out on an eight-metre-square planning grid.
