Architects wanted for new TV series

Are you involved in restoring a historic gem - if so you, and the building, could become the star of a new BBC show

Restoration Home, produced by Endemol, will follow a host of derelict historic homes as they are saved from ruin and turned into 21st-century homes. The show will also look at the buildings’ hidden past as the team unravels the extraordinary lives of the properties.

‘All over the country, there are spectacular historic properties that are at risk of being lost forever,’ say Endemol. ‘These buildings are part of our identity, they are the portals of our history, the keepers of our past. Without our protection we’ll not only be losing bricks and mortar, but their histories as well.

‘What secrets do these houses hold? What events happened? Who lived there over generations? How was the property used?’

As well as looking at the past, the show will also examine the difficult decisions made by owners, architects, planners and English Heritage about what should be saved and what can be sacrificed to make way for a modern home.

  • If you are renovating a property and want to discover more about its structural and social history, please call 020 8222 4996 or email homes@endemoluk.com to be involved in the new series
