Another day, another major win for AHMM
Allford Hall Monaghan Morris (AHMM) has landed the project to transform a former army centre in north London into 150 homes
The architecture company, which broke into the AJ100 top ten for the first time earlier this year, will renovate the Territorial Army Centre in Islington, on behalf of developer and investor First Base.
The scheme will be set within a landscaped garden and courtyard.
The latest award is yet another string to the bow of London-based AHMM, which saw its turnover rocket by 45 per cent from £12.4million in 2012 to £18.05million in the 12 months to 31 March 2013.
Plans for the 1.5 acre site, which is situated near to shops, restaurants and leisure facilities between Upper Holloway overground station, Holloway Road and Tufnell Park tubes, have been submitted to the London Borough of Islington.
‘Our plans will provide new homes for Islington, and inspirational design that complements the surrounding architecture and character of the area,’ Elliot Lipton, managing director at First Base, said.
‘All our developments across London follow this same ethos – exemplary design in great locations, driven by the needs of Londoners.’
Earlier this month, AHMM announced plans to introduce a profit share scheme for its 250-strong workforce after posting huge increases in turnover and profit.
