AA hit by £1m fraud

The Architectural Association has been struck by an alleged scam that has left the school £1 million out of pocket

Other architecture schools may also be affected by the alleged fraud, which relates to the hire of photocopiers, printers and computers from a company that has ceased trading.

Martin Tucker of the Leasing Advisory Service, which advises on equipment leases, said: ‘I would be surprised if the problem did not exist to some extent, within other architecture schools and architect business.’
