WAF preview lands in Tokyo for UIA convention

Visitors to this month’s Tokyo UIA conference have the opportunity to see a special preview of WAF Awards entries and shortlisted projects

Hosted in collaboration with the International Union of Architectures (UIA) and the Japanese Institute of Architects, the exhibition will feature all WAF entries from South-east Asia, Japan, China and Australasia, plus a selection of this year’s shortlisted entries.

Delegates attending the triennial event are invited to visit WAF’s show at the Uchida Yoko showroom in Chuo-Ku, Tokyo, where a drinks reception will be held 6pm to 8pm local time every evening from 26 to 28 September.

WAF director Paul Finch said: ‘We look forward to seeing our friends from the region, and offering support for the UIA event and for the Japanese architectural community at what has been a difficult time.’  

The preview will be open from 26 to 28 September while the 2011 UIA convention runs from 25 September to 1 October 2011.
