Architectural partner-swapping in Dundee

Things are hotting up in the race to submit bids for the V&A’s new outpost in Dundee, and news of all sorts of interesting team combinations is reaching AJ towers

American architect Peter Eisenman is understood to have teamed up with Edinburgh’s Wiszniewski Thomson Architects. However, rumours about architects who are definitely not going for the £47 million project are almost as intriguing.

Frank Gehry has allegedly said he is too busy, and Astragal hears there were tears among the younger members of staff at Page\Park Architects after the practice turned down a collaboration with Coop Himmelb(l)au’s Wolf Prix. Apparently Page\Park has already partnered with another continental practice.
