2012 Olympics: AEW and Philippe Avanzi reveal ‘largest ever’ McDonald's

Fast food chain McDonald’s has revealed these images of planned restaurants designed by AEW and French interior designer Philippe Avanzi for the London 2012 Olympic games

The company, which plans to operate four restaurants in Stratford, east London, expects to service 1.75 million meals during the 29 day-long games and claims its 3000m² Central restaurant will be the largest McDonald’s outlet ever.

Jill McDonald, McDonald’s UK chief executive said: ‘To be involved in the greatest sporting event on earth is hugely exciting and we are delighted to be able to celebrate one year to go by showcasing these plans.

‘Visiting McDonald’s is fun and the design and graphics in these restaurants will take that to new heights.  We want everyone who visits our Olympic Park restaurants to have the best possible customer experience and are confident that the look and feel of these cutting-edge designs will provide that environment.’
