Construction begins on AZPML's Spanish cultural centre

Foreign Office Architects offshoot AZPML has begun construction on a £3.5 million cultural centre in Spain

Designed by new practice AZPML, headed by former Foreign Office-stars Alejandro Zaera-Polo and Maider Llaguno, the 2,500m² Foundation Cerezales Antonino y Cinia cultural centre is located near León, north-west Spain.

The £3.5 million centre will provide space for exhibitions, concerts, workshops, seminars, residence projects, and productions.

The scheme will relocate the foundation’s existing facilities from a former school building in the nearby town of Cerezales to the new two-storey building.
