This project is dependant on successful bids being made to Heritage Lottery Fund and other funders. Timescales may be extended as a consequence of independent funders timetable for release of funding. It is expected that there will be a break in the contract of between 6-12 months following completion of scheme design (to RIBA stage d) and there is no guarantee that funding to progress beyond stage d will be achieved. When executing the contract within the United Kingdom, the successful bidder will be expected to comply with the recommendations of the latest statutory code of practice for equality in employment, published by the Equality and Human Rights Commission. Details are available from the Equality and Human Rights Commission website: www.equalityhumanrights.com/pages/eocdrccre.aspx. Applicants must complete an official pre-qualification questionnaire, obtainable from Matthew Cannavan at the first address specified in I.1. This must be returned with the supporting documentation to the address stated in the questionnaire by noon Friday 8th August 2008. Questionnaires received after this time will not be processed. Queries regarding the operation of the contract should be made to Frank Caldwell at the 'Further Information' address specified in I.1 (E-mail addresses are often unclear in the EU advert. There is an ‘underscore’ where a gap appears in the address.) Where possible the operator of this contract may be required to actively participate in the economic and social regeneration of the locality of and surrounding the place of delivery for the project.
