Passive House designs for New Orleans wanted
A competition has been launched asking participants to develop a series of affordable, ‘Passive House’ standard homes for the displaced communities in New Orleans
Following the destruction that followed Hurricane Katrina, low-cost sustainable houses are needed for those who lost their homes. They must meet the post-Katrina building codes and guidelines, and have a minimal environmental impact.
The deadline for submissions is Sunday 1 May at 11:59pm.

The winner will receive an HP Designjet T2300 PostScript eMFP, with a value of nearly $10,000. The winner of this challenge will also be featured on DesignReform on the first day of the AIA National Convention on 12 May in New Orleans.
