Chris Roche enjoys European jaunt

As former England football manager and current Man City boss Sven-Göran Eriksson knows, it’s all about your results in Europe.

So it comes as no surprise to find that north London maverick leftie architect Chris Roche is pleased as punch.

His practice 11.04 Architects was recently named as the only British firm on the shortlist to design a £20 million residential skyscraper in Slovakia.

Speaking to the AJ, Roche admitted the firm’s ‘semi-final’ appearance was outstripping the achievements of his favourite football club. He said: ‘Like my team Manchester City, 11.04 are on a roll at the moment. Happily we have entered Europe before them.’
