Chippo and Feilden Clegg Bradley win Prague comp - image

Two major British practices have won a competition to design buildings for plots on an extraordinary new masterplan in Prague.

David Chipperfield Architects ( pictured) and Feilden Clegg Bradley, along with five other practices, have both been appointed to draw up plans for different parts of a new residential scheme in the city, called the River Gardens.

The schemes will sit within a masterplan by Swiss practice Baumschlager Eberle, which creates an 'internal garden' on the site with the residential schemes located at the perimeter.

The other four European practices to have picked up commissions for individual areas were EM2N Architekten, Peter Meili Architekten, 4a Architekti and Fink + Jocher.

The winning projects will be exhibited from 28 February at the Gallery Jaroslav Fragner in Prague.
