Chipperfield reveals Missouri museum expansion

David Chipperfield Architects has revealed the first images of yet another museum project – this time an $125 million (£60 million) expansion to the Saint Louis Art Museum in Missouri, USA.

The Stirling Prize winner’s plans include adding an extra 7,660m2 of new galleries and public space to the east and south of the existing Beaux Arts-style building – designed for the 1904 World’s Fair by architect Cass Gilbert.
