[FIRST LOOK + PLANS + DATA] London and Copenhagen-based CF Møller Architects has unwrapped a 48,000m² logistics centre at Haderslev in Denmark
Located alongside the E45 motorway the logistic centre will supply clothing to all of retail company Bestseller’s shops across Europe.
The centre is arranged as three parallel bands of buildings that are aligned with a central access avenue. The first of these bands contains the main entrance, office and staff facilities, together with an area with loading ramps for trucks, while the second contains an automated sorting facility, and the third fully-automated mini-load stores.
The tall mini-load stores take the form of solid, sculptural structures, clad with wooden slats with a transparent facade that faces the motorway to allow motorists to see the cranes inside at work.
The building, which sits in a 500,000m² landscaped site with wetlands, oak woodlands and meadows, is designed to provides a flexible arrangement and that can allow for the possible future expansion of the centre to triple is current size.
