Cesar Pelli to build tall in Liverpool - image

International architect Cesar Pelli is set to design a 22-storey tower on the Liverpool waterfront.

The New York-based designer has revealed plans for this scheme (pictured) on the Albert Dock.

The project will sit at the 'entry' to the massive £750m masterplan for the city centre, which is currently being built for Grosvenor.

Pelli has masterplanned the western section of this redevelopment, which takes in the site for the tower.

He is perhaps best known for Kuala Lumpur's Petronus Towers, the tallest structures in the world, and in this country for One Canada Square.
